Kovsie Alumni Association
The University of the Free State values its alumni. The aim of Kovsie Alumni is to strengthen and uphold the bond between alumni and their alma mater. Kovsie Alumni also aims to guard over the traditions and interests of the University and to promote the University's image. If you are registered as a student at the University, you automatically become a member of Kovsie Alumni.
Kovsie Alumni has branches all over the country where Kovsie Alumni have the opportunity to make contact with other Kovsies in their area.
Regional branches
Currently Kovsie Alumni has more than 30 branches across the country and new branches continue to be established. These branches usually meet at least once a year. At these functions, alumni are informed about the latest Kovsie achievements and also have the opportunity to relive their days at the University of the Free State.
Interest groups
Kovsie Alumni incorporates other interest groups, such as sport clubs and career related associations. If you, for example, studied law at Kovsies, you could become part of our Law Alumni and receive up to date career-related information.
Electronic newsletter
Kovsie Alumni distributes a two-monthly electronic newsletter to all Kovsie Alumni. Therefore it is very important that we have your electronic particulars. Please send it, together with your student number and/or identy number and/or birth date to alumni@mail.uovs.ac.za
Bult
Alumni all over the world also receive BULT, the newsmagazine of the UFS which is published quarterly and which keeps you informed about what is happening on campus. If you have not been receiving your copies of Bult, please send your contact details to alumni@mail.uovs.ac.za .
